The region of Epirus, on the north-west edge of Greece is perfect for people who want to combine beaches with culture and natural beauty. There are many different types of beaches, all with crystal clear waters. For a little more excitement, the tourist towns of Parga and Sivota are just 30 minutes away. The ancient town of Elina overlooks Karavostasi if walkers or bird watchers are tempted by an expedition. The area has many beautiful, quiet areas with an abundance of wildlife. Perdika town is worth a visit, as are the many tranquil and picturesque beaches, ideal for refreshing swims and soaking up the sun.
